The next Honda Civic might be a long ways from now but a dinky little drawing has opened a can of whoop ass excitement speculations. But they’re not just speculations … they’re spectacular speculations.
For instance, some people think Honda’s going to introduce the Civic’s hatch and coupe variants to emerging markets like China and India. The coupe and hatchback had a hard time in North America and I can’t imagine how they’d do in Asia.
The rumor about the Honda CR-Z hatchback concept’s and new Honda City sedan’s design language translating into the new Civic makes sense but let’s wait and see if any real information shows up on the radar. Sloppy renders by hobbyists don’t count.
Mag-X, the magazine that created all this hoopla, say the next generation Civic will debut in 2011 and roll out soon after as a 2012 model in key markets.

First of all, I’m strongly support the continuity of PPSMI (Pengajaran Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris).
Why?
There are many obvious good reasons and benefits from PPSMI.
For example:
1. More than 3/4 of the world speaks and writes in English. There’s a lot of reading material e.g. books and articel in internet etc in every subject, are in that language.
If we are using the current translated material to our education, we are limiting our young generation in their quest to attain more knowledge and to improve themselves. We will fall far behind the latest knowledge and technology.
2. We have to admit that both teachers and students are struggling in this transition period of PPSMI, but that struggle definetly worth priceless. We need to be reminded “Bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian”? or after 6 years, “Alang-alang menyeluk perkasam”?
Extra perks and benefit that received by the teachers must be well use to equip themselves with a strong communication in English and better method of teaching. No excuse for that.
3. Rural kids. They are suppose to be better than their parents. They dont have exposure of English at home, at least they get some at school.
And many others.
You dont call him “Bapa Kemodenan” for nothing.
On a lighter side, you can read rant by Sinatra_Z and FAQ on PPSMI by CheWal.
